About Me

Some stories are meant to entertain.
Others stay with you—long after the lights are off.

I’m Rowan Alexander, and I write about the things that linger. The memories that don’t quite fade, the moments that feel too real to be dreams, and the quiet, unsettling spaces where reality and imagination blur together.

Writing has always been deeply personal for me. Long before I ever shared a story, books were a way to survive. They were an escape, a refuge, and sometimes the only place where things made sense. I spent hours in libraries, getting lost in worlds that felt safer, stranger, and more honest than my own. Those stories didn’t just pass the time—they stayed with me. They shaped how I see the world, and how I understand it.

Authors like Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Anne McCaffrey, and Madeline L’Engle showed me that stories could be more than just entertainment. They could create emotion, tension, wonder—and sometimes, a quiet kind of truth that lingers beneath the surface.

That’s what I try to create now.

My writing lives somewhere between memory and imagination. Some stories are inspired by moments I can’t fully explain. Others come from the questions we carry with us—the ones that don’t always have answers. I’m drawn to the subtle kind of horror. The kind that doesn’t rely on what you see, but on what you feel… and what you can’t quite forget.

If I can give even one reader that same sense of immersion—the same feeling of being pulled into something bigger than themselves—then that’s enough for me.

So if you’ve ever found yourself questioning a memory…
or wondering if something you experienced was more than it seemed…

You’re in the right place.

Welcome.
